Corrections policy
When we get something wrong, we fix it and tell readers what changed.
Last updated
District Times corrects factual errors as quickly as we can confirm them.
- Corrections are added to the affected article in a clearly labeled note that states what was wrong and what is correct, along with the date of the change.
- Updates that add new information are marked with an “Updated” date at the top of the article.
- We do not remove published articles to hide errors. In rare cases where an article must be withdrawn (for example, for legal or safety reasons), we say so on the page.
